Keeping Safe - Child Protection Workshop for Parents
Keeping Safe Protective Behaviours Workshop - Thursday 12th September 6-8pm - Library

The Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia is committed to child protection strategies and procedures to ensure the care, safety and protection of all children in Catholic schools. A key principle of the policy is that all children have the right to a thorough and systematic education in all aspects of personal safety. This should be done in partnership with their parents/caregivers.

All children have a right to:

be treated with respect and to be protected from harm;
feel and be safe in their interactions with adults and other children and young people;
understand, as early as possible, what is meant by ‘feeling and being safe’;
receive the support of staff in their education setting, whose role includes advocacy for their safety and well-being.

Parents, Guardians and Caregivers are invited to attend a Keeping Safe Protective Behaviours Workshop on Thursday 12th September - Term 3, Week 8 in the Library.

This interactive and informative workshop will provide parents and caregivers with an overview of the Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum that is implemented at Whitford Catholic Primary School as well as information on how you can reinforce these personal safety messages at home.
